why can't i wear jeans to an interview?

the answer is of course, yes I can wear jeans to my interview tomorrow, in fact I could wear whatever I wanted or nothing but since I am not applying to be a stripper, I should, as interviewees do tend to prefer people who are smartly dressed.

I don't mind dressing nice but my problem is I am running low on smart clothes at the minute, the blouse I usually wear for interviews is missing which means I will have to buy a new one tomorrow and the trousers I usually wear need ironing and if you haven't guessed already I'm a bit lazy. My friend told me yesterday she once went in jeans to an interview and still got the job, and she was also apparently still drunk at the time. I will not be drinking before my interview as I tend to speak more openly when I am drunk, so that is a no go. I will also do no preparation for this interview, but I will try and remember to shut up and not ramble on too much like I usually do.
